Goldeneye
Goldeneye Hotel and Spa is a collection of villas, cottages, and beach huts with restaurants and other amenities. The architecture is designed for tropical resilience, using many traditional details, with structures elevated on solid foundations to allow stormwater flow, with lightweight timber upper floors and roofs. The design with ample verandas encourages indoor-outdoor living, welcome breezes while remaining robust against natural hazards. Set on a site that includes both Ian Fleming’s original Goldeneye property and a section of government-created landfill along the Oracabessa waterfront and is being built out in a phased way which allows for organic growth. Master planning for the project integrated commercial and resort functions with a working fishing beach and other public amenities, anchoring the hotel within a broader vision for the coastline.
